Mind-body medicine can teach you to listen to your body while bringing awareness to your mind.
Our mind, body and spirit are connected and make up the layers of our experience. You cannot heal challenges in the body without becoming aware of your thoughts, emotions and behaviors. And it is difficult to calm down repetitive anxious thoughts without feeling into the felt sensations in your body.
Using mind-body practices, we can learn to attune to your whole being. Turning towards the parts that feel uncomfortable or in pain, even just for a few seconds. Being with these parts is how we create feelings of ease and safety.
For some individuals, especially highly sensitive, feeling your pain (sensations or emotions) may feel unsafe and is incredibly difficult. You may not have had support to do this in the past and it doesn’t feel natural. You are not meant to do it alone and this is where a coach can help.
The more we turn towards our symptoms, the more capacity for ease and safety you create. With more and more practice, this process will get easier and you will build resilience, similar to building a muscle at the gym. When you have resilience, you have the opportunity to choose something different and create more of what you want in life.
How it Works
Connection is foundational to all human experience. My job is to create a safe space for you to connect, with me, yourself and your experience.
We will work together to explore and help you understand your inner world. To gain a deeper understanding of yourself. The mindset is not about fixing something that is broken but exploring with curiosity and openness all the parts of your biopsychosocial and spiritual being. You will see patterns emerge and shifts will happen over time and with practice.
In order to do this, I believe trust is the foundation to our work. I will meet you wherever you are on your journey with compassion. My goal is to provide a safe container for you to gently lean into your experience, whether it be physical pain or anxiety. Holding space for another is healing in and of itself. This creates safety in your mind and body and the path to healing has already begun.

Feeling safe and connected are the seeds that allow a flower to grow. Water and sunlight are the nourishment these seeds need to flourish. In our case, water is courage and sunlight is vulnerability. In order for you to choose something other than chronic pain, reactive stress and/or living with symptoms, courage and vulnerability are important. I am here to guide and encourage you, with the hope that with enough practice you can become attuned to your system and create what you want in life.
